Pupdates !

Here are a few updates from pups we rescued out of Heard County Animal Control:

Zoe (formerly known as Tiny) was one of the puppies born from Ginger.  Ginger was pulled pregnant from Heard County Animal Control and was fostered locally.  Once Ginger had her babies, she was also adopted.

Zoe’s mom states, “She chased gulls, rubbed her belly in the water and ran around like crazy in the sand.”  This was Zoe’s first beach visit!  She is a well loved pup that enjoys running daily with her furever mom.

Teddy Bear lives the life of luxury!  Teddy was pulled from Heard County Animal Control as a puppy.  He lived with a local foster until he was almost 2 years old.  However, when Teddy found his furever home, it was PERFECT!  Teddy has a 4 legged ‘brother’ and companion that he enjoys their playtime.  Plus his mom spoils him rotten.

We love receiving updates on our Heard County Humane alumni!  This is why we do what we do daily.  For the animals.

Our Cat Foster Program

Update on our cat foster program:
We have lots of adult cats available for adoption- most for no charge to good homes!
We are making a couple changes:
1. We will no longer accept owner surrenders. It is so hard not to find a spot for an owner that calls crying that has to surrender their cat. But, we have to stay focused on our primary mission: to help cats on death row at Heard County Animal Control.
2. Cats and kittens will not be available for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks old, sterilized, and vaccinated for rabies. Cute, fluffy, playful kittens get adopted quickly, but we want to make sure that every animal that leaves our care has the best possible future. And we definitely don’t want to contribute to the stray cat population! We have adopted kittens with a spay/neuter contract before, but that option is no longer available.
These changes are going to help us stay focused on our goals and finding our kitties the perfect homes!
